A Game Changing Muscle Back Cavity

The MC-501 was one of our best-selling models. Ever! The “modern blade” was popular with so many players because it was easy to hit and produces a great ball flight. The MC-501 proved that forgiveness was attainable in a blade iron without compromising performance. Subtle design enhancements enabled Shinei Miura and his design team to improve both forgiveness and performance in the MC-502, meeting the discerning needs of all players.

CHANGING THE GAME

The creation of the MC-501 changed the way in which a blade iron could look. It optimized three critical aspects of iron design which is weight, density and distribution of that weight. The MC-502 takes some of the best features of the 501 while adding enhanced playability and performance characteristics not previously seen in the category.

SUBTLE ENHANCEMENTS

The MC-502 incorporates an increase in face progression (less offset) compared to the 501, which has always been a welcomed look for the better player. Additionally, a softer, more rounded top line and toe profile found their way from the sketch pad to the factory. These subtle changes were able to deliver even greater confidence to the golfer, evident when lining up the club head at address.

THE CHANNELS

Seen in the design on the back of the iron, these channels distribute weight to the sole of the club, allowing the craftsman to increase bounce and camber, all contributing to more effective turf travel, making the 502 among the easiest of Miura models to hit.

Tech overview
MORE ON OFFSET

The 502 is a less offset version of the MC-501. Offset impacts the ability to control performance for the better player. Incorporating less offset would improve this characteristic. The decreased offset available on the MC-502 delivers the feeling of control as the ball “rides the clubface” without compromising feel. The MC-502 will fit the eye of every golfer, particularly at the address position. Allowing for precise alignment and playability.

OPTIMIZED CAMBER

Improved turf interaction was achieved by optimizing the camber and effective bounce on each clubhead. And, like all Miura irons, the MC-502 is designed to “get to square” at impact. Optimized effective bounce is achieved thru the precise use of camber in the sole. However, more bounce and more camber meant more weight added to the sole.

    MC-502's 4-PW

Looks and feels like a blade, however surprisingly forgiving in off-center strikes. I'm pretty impressed!

    The Best Irons

    Wow!

These are the best irons I’ve ever played

I have played for over 50 years

Stopped playing 14 years ago because of work and kids

Started playing April 2022 and tried the Gen 3 PXG then the TaylorMade TW blades. Like my TW but when they announce the 502 I purchased them in the 6-9 and absolutely LOVE them

I am for sure going to buy the 4&5 and PW now!

    Wonderful!

Buttery, pin-seeking results from this iron. If the shot is not right, it’s definitely the archer not the arrow 😉‼️
