Year in Review 2025

In 2025, Miura Golf remained focused on the principles that have long defined the brand: precise forging, disciplined design progression, and validation through performance rather than promotion. The year unfolded through meaningful product releases, success on golf’s biggest stages, and collaborations that reflected Miura’s craftsmanship beyond the clubhead.

TC-202: A Thoughtful Evolution

March 2025

The release of the TC-202 irons marked a key moment in Miura’s modern cavity-back lineage. Designed by Shinei Miura, son of Katsuhiro Miura, the TC-202 builds upon the TC-201 platform while drawing measured inspiration from the Miura CB-57.

The design features a compact profile with refined shaping, a slightly wider sole to improve turf interaction, and subtle weight redistribution to enhance stability through impact. Forged from premium S20C carbon steel in Himeji, Japan, the TC-202 balances traditional Miura feel with added forgiveness, making it one of the most widely adopted iron models of the year among accomplished players.

Precision on Golf’s Grandest Stage

April 2025 — The Masters

At Augusta National, Justin Rose delivered a composed and technically precise performance at the 2025 Masters, finishing runner-up after a closing-round 66. Throughout the week, Rose relied on the consistency and control of his Miura MC-502 irons—particularly under the pressure that defines major championship golf.

The MC-502’s compact shape, controlled launch characteristics, and feedback-driven design were evident in Rose’s iron play, reinforcing Miura’s reputation for producing tools trusted at the highest level of competition.

A Farewell to Mr. Miura

May 2025

In May, Miura Golf mourned the passing of its founder, Katsuhiro Miura. His work set a standard not through volume or visibility, but through discipline, repetition, and an uncompromising belief that every club should be better than the one before it.

Mr. Miura’s legacy is not only in the clubs that bear his name, but in the philosophy behind them: quiet excellence, earned through craft. His influence continues through the hands of those who learned beside him and through the players who trust that feel, that shape, and that precision under pressure.

Miura × BOLD Golf Collaboration

July 2025

The Miura × BOLD Golf collaboration represented a meeting of craftsmanship and contemporary design culture. Rather than focusing on clubs, the project centered 2 limited-edition Sunday bags constructed from high-grade materials such as Italian leather.

Design elements emphasized both function and expression, with features like two-way club dividers, suede-lined shoulder straps, and thoughtful detailing throughout. Cultural references—such as subtle nods to Japanese tradition—were balanced with modern design language, resulting in products that bridged heritage and lifestyle without straying from Miura’s standards of quality and restraint.

Victory in Memphis

August 2025 — FedEx St. Jude Championship

In August, Justin Rose captured the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis following a tightly contested four rounds that concluded with a three-hole playoff at TPC Southwind. Finishing regulation play at –16, Rose relied on precise iron play to remain in contention and ultimately secure the win.

His Miura MC-502 irons once again played a central role, providing consistent distance control and shot-shaping reliability during key moments late in the tournament. The victory further underscored Miura’s presence in elite professional golf through performance rather than endorsement.

KM Baby Blades: Precision Refined

October 2025

October introduced the KM Baby Blades, a compact muscle-back design intended for players who prioritize feedback, control, and traditional shaping. With a shorter blade length, thin topline, and minimal offset, the Baby Blades reflect Miura’s most exacting approach to forging.

Each head is produced with tight tolerances to ensure consistency across the set, reinforcing the direct connection at impact that skilled players demand. The release reaffirmed Miura’s commitment to serving golfers who value precision over assistance.

Miura × Sentinel: Purposeful Design

October 2025

Later in October, Miura partnered with Sentinel on a collaboration focused on durability, utility, and refined construction. The Miura × Sentinel collection included carry goods and accessories designed for everyday use, utilizing materials such as Saltex nylon and ultra-durable technical fabrics chosen for abrasion resistance and longevity.

Products such as waterproof rangefinder cases, utility pouches, and performance accessories reflected a shared emphasis on functional design and material integrity. The collaboration extended Miura’s craftsmanship beyond clubs while remaining aligned with the brand’s understated, purpose-driven philosophy.

The Result

Rather than being defined by a single product or moment, 2025 reflected Miura’s continued commitment to steady, deliberate progress—an approach shaped by the lifelong philosophy of Mr. Miura himself. His devotion to forging excellence, patience in design, and respect for tradition remain the foundation of the brand today, carried forward by his sons who now oversee the factory and its craftsmanship. Each release, performance, and partnership reinforced a consistent belief that refinement is achieved over time. As Miura moves forward, 2025 stands as a year of continuity, measured evolution, and quiet confidence in a legacy that endures.
