The Story Clubs Gear

At a young age, Katsuhiro Miura recognized that the traditional art of forging irons was fundamentally flawed. So, he set out to change it. His life’s passion and pursuit were guided by the power of touch and feel, combined with meticulous attention to detail, ultimately leading him to become the founder and chairman of Miura Golf.

In Japanese culture, a Hanko stamp represents craftsmanship, pride, and personal legacy. For artisans, it serves as a signature of authenticity, declaring: “This is my work, and I stand behind it.”

Before his passing in 2025, the Miura factory in Himeji, Japan introduced Miura-san’s personal Hanko stamp on the KM-700 irons, and later the AS-1 irons created in collaboration with Adam Scott. Both of which embody this philosophy.

Originally introduced in the early 2000s, the KM-008 returns for 2026, paying tribute to the legacy, craftsmanship, and timeless design philosophy that defined the original factory-crafted model.
